 Scope The new $104 million, 160,000 square foot, 4-story medical office building and ambulatory surgery center is expected to open 2019. Uihlein is responsible for its BAS systems which will integrate room temperature comfort with state of the art Direct-Digital-Controllers that will sequence air movement on or off, based on the occupancy of the room. Electrical lighting control sensors interface with HVAC controls to maximize energy usage.

BAS wiring of the project consisted of:

  • Hot Water Plant with (4) Steam Boilers & (6) Pumps, (2) Heat Exchangers & (2) Pumps
  • Chilled Water Plant with (2) Chillers and (4) Pumps
  • (5) Air Handling Units (AHU) with (3) of them consisting well over 100 DDC points each
  • (1) Make-up Air Unit (MUA)
  • (2) Dry Coolers with (4) Pumps 310feet away
  • (147) Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes
  • (10) Room Pressure Controllers (RPC)
  • (15) Cabinet Unit Heaters (CUH)
  • (28) Unit Heaters (UH)
  • (8) Fan Coil Units (FCU)
  • (2) Exhaust Fans
  • (85) Fire Smoke Dampers with (170) End Switches
  • Boiler Room, Gas Detection System
